DESCRIPTION:Join us May 23 & 24 at our new studio for an in-person training course focused on electrical codes and regulations in the Film\, Television\, and Entertainment industries.\n \nTime/Date: 9 am to 4 pm\, May 23 & 24\, 2026 (this is a 2-day workshop)\n \nLocation: 252 Stuart\, Hamilton\, Ontario (Setready Studios and Rentals\, new location!)\n\nLevel: Beginner. This session is designed for individuals with little to no prior experience. \nOverview: This workshop introduces participants to the essential codes\, standards\, and guidelines used in the entertainment industry\, with a primary focus on the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC). Attendees will learn where to find these resources and how to effectively read\, navigate\, and apply them in real-world scenarios. \nParticipants will be introduced to the following codes and guidelines: \n\nOESC – Ontario Electrical Safety Code\nCEC – Canadian Electrical Code\nSpec-003 R7\nSafety Guidelines for the Film and Television Industry in Ontario\nThe Green Book\n\nSpecial emphasis will be placed on OESC Sections: 10\, 12\, 16\, 28\, 44\, and 66. \nThis course is part of our 269E Prep Program and provides training relevant to the Entertainment Industry Power Technician trade\, recognized under the Red Seal Program. It is designed to help participants prepare to challenge the 269E exam. This course does not provide certification or accreditation. \nLearning Objectives: By the end of this 2-day workshop\, participants will: \n\nDevelop a foundational understanding of how the OESC is structured\nLearn how to read and interpret electrical code rules effectively\nGain familiarity with sections relevant to the entertainment industry\n\n\nCost: $299 + HST (per person).\nRegistration is priced per person for the full 2-day course. Course books will be provided for on-site use. Coffee\, light snacks\, and water will be included each day. Spots are limited\, and all participants must register in advance. Only registered attendees will be admitted.
