What types of equipment do you offer for rental?
SetReady provides a variety of rental equipment for photography and video production. We offer a wide range of cameras, lenses, lighting, grip gear, production support, and package trucks. View our full inventory.
What’s the parking and loading situation?
Both SetReady locations have ample parking and ground level loading available.
What are your operating hours?
We are open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. We do have after hours lockers available for easy and convenient pick-up and drop-offs. However, all orders will need to be placed within office hours.
Do you offer delivery and pickup services?
Whether you’re working locally, leaving the city, or coming in from out-of-town, we have delivery trucks available to help facilitate your rental needs.
Are there any promotions or discounts?

What should I do if I experience issues with the equipment during the rental period?
Contact our team via email or call the emergency phone number that is given to each customer at the time of their rental.
Rental Policy
Do you offer special rates for rentals longer than one day?
We offer daily, weekly, and monthly pricing options. Contact our team with the dates of your production.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, cheque, e-transfer, VISA, and Mastercard.
How do I pay and when is payment due?
To speed up the pickup process, we process your payment online in advance of your rental.
What information/documentation is required to rent equipment?
When you create an account with SetReady, our team will send you the necessary documents required for setting up an account. Contact our team to set up your account. You will need a valid Credit Card for authorization purposes to rent any equipment.
Do I need insurance?
Yes, a valid Certificate of Insurance (COI) and credit card deposit are required. In some instances, a COI may not be required. Contact our team for more details.
What is the process for picking up and returning the equipment?
We have various sized lockers for easy and convenient pick-up and drop-offs OR we’ll have someone on-site to help you out with the gear.
Can I rent equipment if I am from out of town or an international client?
Yes, we’re proud to support clients from near and far. Contact our team and we can get an account created for you.
Can I extend my rental period if needed?
All requests must be made prior to the expiry of your rental period to ensure availability.
Can someone else pick up the equipment for me?
Yes, you can add designated people to your account to pick up or return orders on your behalf. Be sure to send us the authorized representative(s) information via email, and have them show up with a valid ID.
What if the equipment is returned dirty, messy, smelly, or banged up?
All equipment should be dropped off in the condition it was received. As per our rental contract, there will be additional charges to your order if the gear is not returned in the same condition, damaged or nonfunctional.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
Upon accepting the Quote, any cancelled orders are subject to the cancellation fees in our rental contract. Contact our team for more details.
What happens if I need to postpone the production?
We understand that things happen. If your production gets postponed Contact our team right away and we will work with you to adjust the new rental dates based on gear availability. Subject to the applicable fees in our rental contract.
Rental Process
Is there a minimum rental period?
We have a minimum of a 1 day rental period.
What are your rental rates?

What is considered the duration of a 1 day rental?
Any equipment that is picked up after 1pm the day before your production and it is returned before 11am the day after your production we will only charge you for 1 day.
Do you offer weekend rates?
Yes, pick up your equipment after 1pm Friday and return before 11am on Monday and we will only charge you for 1 day
How can I make a reservation?
You can make a reservation online by browsing our full inventory and creating a cart, or you can Contact our team with the equipment you’re looking for.
Can I prep and test the equipment before renting it?
Yes, our prep lounges offer a comfortable space to check your gear, build your package, and make sure you have all the little bits and pieces for your production. Each prep bay is equipped with a tool bench, large work surface, prep cart, power stations, free wifi, focus chart, and tripod head.
How far in advance do I need to book equipment rentals?
We recommend booking your equipment as soon as possible to guarantee availability. We do accept same day rentals, but cannot guarantee availability. All gear needs to be ordered within office hours – we do not observe same-day orders on the weekend.

Do you provide demos, training or tutorials on how to use the equipment?

Do you sell equipment?
Yes, we have a full selection of Expendables and from time to time we sell off our used inventory. Contact our team if you have a specific piece of gear you are looking for.
Do we guarantee our equipment works?
SetReady has very detailed inspection and test processes to examine each piece of equipment prior to it being rented out for your production. However, as stated in our rental contract, it is the renters responsibility to test and inspect all their rented equipment. We strongly encourage you to have a prep session.
